The importance of the month of Ramadan.
Ramadan MubarakÂ
The name of the ninth month of the Hijri year is Ramzanul Mubarak. The dignity and greatness of this month cannot be overstated. This month is the best time to get closer and closer to Allah, the best time to get the path of the Hereafter. Spring full of worship, remembrance and supplication and self-purification. The month of Ramadan is a great blessing of Allah for the believing servant. He has bestowed on every day and night of this month endless blessings like the torrential rain and endless welfare.
In this month, the servant will get the mercy and grace of Allah by giving up all worldly needs, seek forgiveness from all the sins of the past, take the warmth of a new life of faith, accumulate the strength of worship and obedience throughout the year through the practice of taqwa. Will surrender. This is the joy of the believer.
Nevertheless, I will try to give some examples of the importance and features of the month of Ramadan which have been described in various verses of Quran Majid and in the detailed narration of Hadith Sharif. Then I will present some instructions of Quran Majeed and Hadith Sharif about the main act of this month, fasting or fasting.
1) The month of fasting and resurrection
The month of Ramadan came to the Muslim Ummah mainly with the message of fasting and Tarabeeh. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you. So that you may be pious. Surah Baqara (2) 183.
Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) said :
When the month of Ramadan came, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The blessed month of Ramadaan has come to you. Allaah has made it obligatory for you to fast this month. In this month the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed. And the devils are bound in chains. There is a night in this month that is better than a thousand months. He who is deprived of its welfare is indeed deprived.
( Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 7148; Sunan Nasai, Hadith 2416; Musannafe Abdur Razzaq, Hadith 8383; Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith 8959 )
2) Month of Quran Revelation:
Another great feature of Ramazanul Mubarak is the month of revelation of the Qur'an. It was during this holy month that Allah revealed the complete Qur'an Majid from Lohe Mahfuz to the first heaven. Then the first revelation of the Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in this month. Allah say :
The month of Ramadan, in which the Qur'an was revealed, which distinguishes between clear guidance for mankind and guidance and right and wrong. So whoever of you gets this month, let him fast it.
Surah Baqara (2): 185 .
3. The best month for Muslims :
Hazrat Abu Huraira. It is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
By Allah! For Muslims, there has never been a better month than Ramadan, and for the hypocrites, there has never been a month worse than Ramadan. Because the believers gather strength and path of worship in this month (for the whole year). And the hypocrites explore the indifference and faults of the people in it.This month is a trophy for the believers and a loss for the hypocrites.
Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 8368; Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith 8968 ; Sahih Ibn Khuzaima, Hadith 1884; Tabarani Hadith 9004; Baihaqi Shuabul Iman, Hadith 3335.
4. The month of atonement and forgiveness of sins :
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say:
The five daily prayers, from one Jumu'ah to another Jumu'ah and from one Ramadan to another, will erase the sins of the intervening period if he survives the grave sins.
Sahih Muslim, Hadith 233 (3)
The golden opportunity for forgiveness is such that a person who cannot forgive his sins is really at a loss. Bad dua has been made for him in Hadith Sharif.
